I already performed the level 1 research, now I wanted to research a level 2 tech. I selected the action, selected the tech, then I was asked to confirm at the end. It's at move 83 (the part where I start selecting the spacefaring action, the error comes at the end of that process).

In the actual, physical game, you always have the option to convert population back to supply, but in the BGA adaptation, it's only offered when you're low on supply (because why would you do it otherwise?).
