Detaljert beskrivelse
• Vennligst kopier/lim inn feilmeldingen du ser på skjermen, om mulig.
Currently, the site and many games do not meet basic accessibility criteria, which prevents many users from playing. For example, those who can't use a mouse are unable to keyboard-navigate the site and games; those with visual difficulties using magnifiers still can't see all content and not all text enlarges; anyone playing in darker conditions (e.g. neurodivergents with hypersensitivity) struggle as colour contrast isn't always sufficient; etc.
The suggestion is to use the international standard WCAG guidelines (www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wcag/), and ensure that the site and games conform to Level A, i.e. the lowest, or bare minimum conformance level. This is a legal requirement for basic services and a moral and business imperative for others - there are more than a billion people with accessibility requirements, so the potential increase in user base is huge! (www.w3.org/WAI/business-case/)
A logical first step could be to make sure any new game only passes Beta testing if it's WCAG Level A Compliant, and ensure that games with that Compliance can be searched for (at least until a significant proportion of the games on the site are compliant). Older titles would be brought in line gradually.
